This is Irish designer J.W. Anderson's first womenswear collection. The use of oversized knits, sheer mesh, soft jersey and plaid really achieves a subdued punk/gothic look (which obviously appealed to me), but the collection is still very relaxed and has just a touch of schoolgirl to it. Anderson explains his inspiration for the collection: "It was taken from the same as the men's, which was to do with love, but for the women's collection it was all about the idea that she had borrowed her clothes from her boyfriend or lover." What? Stealing clothes from her lover? Perfect.
