Stretsis Spring 2010

So I'm posting looks from Stretsis, an indie label helmed by Pim Sukhahuta, as a very literal interpretation of Spring's arrival. Daisy adorned, pastel framed shades (by Thierry Lasry) and ruffled floral party dresses. Maybe it's slightly too "girly" for me. Because I LOOK sixteen, I generally try to dress older (and by older, I mean my actual age) and more sexy or sophisticated. But sometimes, it's necessary to put on a cute baby-doll dress and be a fun-loving hippy girly girl, right? I choose the outfit with the baby blue blazer, because it takes the girly down half a notch. That outfit is perfect for, let's say, a birthday night, which would, let's say, hypothetically be in two days. Hypothetically.

Strap Me In

Levi's and House of Holland are working together again for Spring/Summer 2010. The result is these strapped denim pieces, which I wouldn't mind wearing. Wouldn't mind wearing, at all.

Opening Ceremony

Once again, browsing the Opening Ceremony online shop and finding new Spring-y items to covet. The weather is warming up and the sun is out (yesterday marks the first day I sat on the roof, though only for 5 minutes because of the wind), which means open-toes are finally weather appropriate. Here is today's hypothetical outfit.

Temporary Chanel

These temporary tattoos, originally seen hand-drawn on models' wrists and legs at the Spring/Summer 2010 runway show in Paris, are now available. Yes. Les Trompe L'Ooeil de Chanel cost $75 for 55 temporary tattoos of mix-and-match-able birds, chains, cherry blossoms and Chanel logos. Of course, you can save your $75 and invest it in a real tattoo. I wouldn't get the iconic intertwined Cs tattooed to my body, but I do like the idea of a tattoo wrapped around my thigh or on the back of my leg (flashback: garter tattoo).

I ♥ Freja

We're all well aware of my love for Freja Beha Erichsen. I fell in love with her when I first saw this picture of her, looking like a tomboy rockabilly greaser with her hair slicked back and wearing a simple ripped wife beater. This is Freja in Vogue UK by Patrick Demarchelier and styled by Lucinda Chambers. I'm posting it mostly because I have a major girl crush on Freja, and the styling is alright. The chain detail Balenciaga boots that keep popping up in editorials (in fact, Freja wore them already here) are wearing me down. Meaning, they're kind of growing on me. Meaning, maybe I always liked them, despite their being slightly too ostentatious for my taste. Meaning, I want them. Back to the editorial, though. I didn't post all the pictures, mostly because it's not Freja at her best. Mostly, she looks kind of confused. So I'm adding another picture of Freja in all her natural dimpled tousled hair glory just to prove to you how beautiful she is (as if you needed proof).

I ♥ Diane

Diane Kruger photographed by Karl Lagerfeld. That's pretty much all I need to say, right? But of course I have to say that she's STUNNING in black & white retro tomboy (when I dress like a boy, this is what I'm hoping to look like). And I have to credit stylist Christiane Arp. And say that this editorial is from Vogue Germany. And then I have to say happy Monday from Amsterdam! Hello rain, I'm back. xo

Modern Pin-Up

I love the styling in this editorial for Vogue UK, which was inspired by Alberto Vargas' iconic pin-ups. Photographed by Javier Vallhonrat, Guinevere van Seenus wears colourful and sequined pieces from Jean Paul Gaultier, Miu Miu and Just Cavalli. I especially enjoy the glitter make-up.

Last Night

Berlin Day 7.

No pictures today, as I am dressed in hangover and junk food. But here are pictures I took with my camera in what turned out to be a broken photobooth, edited in photoshop to look like they were taken in a functioning photobooth. Happy Sunday. xo
