Burberry Prorsum Fall 2010 RTW

The military theme continues. Are we getting tired of it yet? I keep seeing editorial after editorial of military-inspired fashion. Even in my last military post, I questioned whether or not it was borderline parody. But Burberry does military well, I have to admit, because they keep it classic and grounded. Among my favourite looks are the impeccably tailored riding jackets with gold buttons, the thigh high boots and that shearling lined brown leather aviator jacket. (I'd like shearling lined anything right now because I've been suffering non-stop Amsterdam rain.)

Is this military theme overdone/borderline parody to you? I love the grittiness of it, but it does makes me wonder.

Cargo

Basically, about 4 months after a Balmain trend hits the runway, you'll find it at Zara (eg: iconic peaked shoulder pads in every single t-shirt, dress and blazer...) for 2.47% of the price (yes, I calculated it, you do the math). Here is my daytime/nighttime take on the skinny cargo pants (see how convenient that black blazer is now?).

Also, if you've noticed, I changed the layout of my blog by widening everything (which took a lot of "what? HTML who in the what now?") so now you have to LOOK AT BIGGER PICTURES OF ME.  No, seriously, I thought it would be nice to not squint at cool editorials. Do you think this is an aesthetic improvement?
